its a pretty boring day, but ive been waiting for this moment since 10 days ago!~

i would jump for joy if i wasnt so cold.
i would scream and shout if it wasnt 11.30 pm at night.
ive done 10 days work without having a day off.
yeah, pretty shitty, but iam a grown up, yada yada yada!!
no!!
iam not a grown up yet!! lemme have this moment why dont ya?

iam planning big things for the next 2 days!!
sleep, eat, sleep, tv,dvd, occasional cleaning/laundry, sleep and yeah.. tv :)
joy..
oh, throw in groceries shopping, cutting hair and also paying bills..
yep, thats sounds about rite..

iam thinking of cutting my hair, serious short, with super duper colour.
iam bored with red. done red about 3 yrs ago.
blue, purple and blonde doesnt appeal.
i dont know.. iam even contemplating if i really need to cut my hair. i mean, its winter, u need summat to cover ure ears!! but, arrggggghhhh, having long hair, is never my thing!!

ive made a quick dessert for amma today before i left for work.
she is tryin to quit smoking u see, so she is turning into sweets to help her fight against this nicotine addiction!! :) and tada, here iam.
well, its a simple nectarine recipe..

i used the same method with the pears. cut the nectarines (or u can use plums too) into half. take out the seed.
put it in an overproof dish, chuck in some butter (luvly butter!!), a few cinnamon sticks and sprinkle some sugar. it depends on how ripe the fruits are... if uve just got em from the grocers, they r more likely to be sour, so put more sugar, and if they are ripe, tone down the sugar... bake it for 10min (200C) and serve with ice cream.
:) pretty simple, and u can rustle it up in like..seconds!!

last week i made cute lil individual trifle!!
its a long story this. i remember being a kid in malacca, and when we had dinner parties, amma would always do trifle.. she told me she learned this when she was in the Uk when she was studying.. then when she was in msia, she thought it would be cool to do the traditional UK pudding.. all em cousins would ask her.. 'what is this dessert?' and she would say 'trifle, something i learn how to do when i was in UK'
its a bit of history.. she hasnt done one for a bout 10 yrs now i think...

this individual trifle is great if u have bits and pieces of cake, custard and cream that u need to get rid of.

basically, get a few drinking glasses (it would look nicer u see, coz u can see all em layers of the trifle). usually, people would use a glass bowl, u can do that too.. but its like.. if u only want to do a small one, it doesnt make bloody sense to use a huge bowl does it?

at the bottom, put the cake. any cake. butter cake, banana cake, vanilla cake, lemon cake. i used the leftover chocolate cake.. then put some custard.. this will moisten the cake (yummy!!) then layer some fruits.. i used all em ripe fresh fruit u see.. we had like.. loads of banana, apples, pear and grapes that we needed to get rid off. (we had that pear for like, a week!!!)
then top it with some jelly.. good ol reliable jelly.
then, to top it alllll off, ice cream!!!
@ u can always use whipped cream
@ just pour out some double cream...

a good cook will always adapt.
this is something i always believe!!!
a good cook will not be afraid to experiment, and will always bend the recipe rules.. i aint gonna put 55g of chocolate if i KNOW 60g wont do no harm!! plus, who wouldn't want extra chocolate in their cake?

i found a recipe which made my stomach just go.. 'daaaaaaaaaaammmmmmmmmmmmmmmmmmmmmmmmmmmmmmmmmmm'
banana chocolate muffin.. i dont really have a ramekins for muffin, so i thought i'd just use the round ovenproof dish.. plus, david's birthday is this monday, and he needs cheering up

its been a blurry week really.. all week, i lost count on the day and date.. i was looking forward towards friday so much, ive forgotten about life.. (issit even possible?)

loads of people are on holiday.. well, not really, just alan and hammy...
alan is in botswana as i type, and iam envious as hell!!!
told him to go off on a safari tour as soon as possible. he is off on one this saturday.
iam gritting my teeth!!

hammy is back in malaysia.. iam envious, as she is, rite now, bathing in the sun. that iam sure off. u cant go anywhere without being hit by the sun light!!
goin back to malaysia is like having ure summer vacation in the place that u love the most, since it has your favorite hangout spot (home) and your favourite person (families and friends)
and you dont have the responsibility of paying em bills!!

iam listening to 4 songs simultaneously.. travis 'sing', lupe fiasco 'superstar', jack penate 'have i been a fool' and robyn 'be mine'
its been a long week heh?

ps: is 'reverend and the makers' frontmen really a reverend? he's been on a few chat show and all em host keeps referring to him as reverend.. is it a joke, @ did he find the light and decided to devout his life to music? :) puzzle!!

i stumble onto a book which i read religiously last winter..
iam halfway thru 'the kite runner' but i think, ive gotta come back to that once iam done with memoirs of a geisha... i love the book. the movie i found to be.. hurm.. well.. just a confirmation.. when i read the book , i would imagine this 'geisha' world which was full of colours... i would imagine the kimono silk and all em colours.. and seeing the movie just confirmed my imagination it was good.. so tonite, iam off to bed to read it all over again.. i can even hear the voiceover from the movie reading each sentence to me... imagination is power..

ive surprised myself.. iam practically out of energy to even walk to the lights to switch it off, but look at me blog?

iam truly out of here..
nighty nite!~
